The decor and murals are gorgeous!! The outside patio is vibrant and fun!! Great place for date night, girls night out and private celebrations!! It has a trendy & lively vibe! They have a full bar, fun cocktails, mocktails and a Tequila Tasting Room. Happy Hour All Day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Wonderful customer service from Ramses Ramirez and Joe! We tried: PORK BELLY BITES SPICY TUNA CRISPY RICE SASHIMI HAMACHI GRILLED PINEAPPLE STUFFED WITH SHRIMP, OCTOPUS, AND SCALLOPS BUTTER CAKE LYCHEE MARTINI LA REINA CUCUMBER MOCKTAIL It’s an absolute gem in Brea!!
The establishment offers a delightful culinary experience, featuring Japanese-infused Mexican cuisine characterized by its vibrant and robust flavors. Our prearranged reservation ensured prompt seating upon our arrival. The attentive staff provided excellent service, assisting us in selecting our meal. The dishes presented were fresh and exceptionally flavorful. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is notably pleasant and inviting. We anticipate returning for future dining experiences.
I recently visited Tempo and had a great overall experience. Starting with the food, I tried the ceviche, which had good flavor, though I’ve had slightly fresher versions elsewhere. The guacamole and chips were top. The chips had a flavor of lime and chili. That said, the portion sizes were generous, which made the meal satisfying and well-balanced. One of the best parts of the visit was taking advantage of their happy hour—they had a solid selection of food and drink options at great prices, making it an excellent value. Our server, Jasmine, really stood out. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. She also offered thoughtful recommendations, sharing her personal favorites from the menu, which added a nice personal touch to the experience. The ambiance of Tempo is another highlight. The interior is beautifully designed, with artwork that showcases a unique blend of Japanese and Latin culture, making the space feel both vibrant and inviting. All in all, Tempo is worth a visit—and I’d definitely go back.
Absolutely incredible!! Cocktails are carefully crafted, variety of menu items, attentive and friendly staff, plus a cool atmosphere with great music. New date night place!! We tried several items including the sashimi, king sushi, ribeye tacos with chimichurri, and spicy noodles with shrimp. Everything was delicious! Cocktails were all EXCEPTIONAL!! I tried the Lychee martini, pogu daiquiri, and carajillo. My husband enjoyed the Mai tai, shizo old fashioned (with grapefruit bitters and Japanese whiskey *chefs kiss*) and original old fashioned. Amazing service by our server Diego, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent drink and food recommendations! Highly recommend!!
This is a such beautiful Mexican restaurant & bar, with a fusion of Japanese cuisine, colorful paint ing with warm lighting, especially the paper cranes at the entrance, so romantic. The food is mostly seafood, very fresh with high quality. The service is great too, but super slow. We waited almost 1 hour then got the first dish, kids were already starving by then. But the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. The cocktails are quite unique — I ordered the “LA Toxic,” which had a strong smoky flavor that was special. If you enjoy beautiful surroundings and don’t mind a long wait, this is a really good restaurant to try. It’s well-suited for families, gatherings with friends. They even have a private area for VIP, good for business or parties.
Came through to the spot for lunch having been to the other Tempo location, we figured we’d give this one a shot. We really dug the decor inside and had our eyes wandering the entire time inside from when we first stepped foot inside. It has a really cool Mexican/Japanese vibe to it and everything flows together well. The food was a bit on the pricier side for this type of fare, but it was worth it. All the items that were recommended by the waiter and bartender were worth it. The Pulpo was especially yum.
I have never been at a restaurant with a fusion of Mexican and Japanese fusion. The decor and the art all over the walls are awesome. Our server Alua was nice, attentive, and helpful. For appetizers we had the queso fundido and the pork belly bites ans they don't dissapoint. For my drink I had an old fashioned from the happy hour menu. And for dinner, I had the bone-in carnitas chamorro, with tortillas and guacamole. The meat literally fell off the bone and the sauce on top was spicy but full of flavor. I will come back.
Came to this location for the first time. Loved the vibe and the atmosphere here. Perfect to come with friends or on a date. Drinks were on point and the food was alright. Music was at a perfect level and smooth. Definitely recommend to give this place a try.
